Xlendi Bay located in the south-western side of the island of the Gozo is a lovely little bay. Xlendi is a favourite spot for travellers and tourists who visit the bay to enjoy the view and to dine at some of the favourite restaurants on the island.

Xlendi Bay is particularly popular for its scenic beauty and outdoor activities. The bay area is ideal for swimming, snorkeling, and diving. There are also opportunities for hiking along the cliffs and exploring the surrounding countryside.  In addition to its beautiful bay, Xlendi is surrounded by natural beauty, including cliffs and caves that are popular with  adventurers and nature enthusiasts.  A hike to the Coastal Tower of Xlendi is a must and anyone who wants to capture amazing sunset views will not be disappointed!

Originally it was a fishermen’s village, a sheltered cove from where the fishermen set out to the open sea with the traditional fishing boats of luzzu. Today the cove of Xlendi is busy all year round.

Luckily, the fishermen are not gone from Xlendi. They still launch their boats from the slipway next to pier and thankfully you can enjoy their fresh catch at seafront restaurants like Moby Dick.

Xlendi is easily accessible by road from other parts of Gozo. Public transportation, including buses, also connects it to the main ferry terminal at Mgarr, which links Gozo to the main island of Malta.
